Presentation Summary: Digital Lifecycle Management: Microsoft’s O365 Security and Compliance Center
Governing Your Digital AssetsMicrosoft products are evolving fast and Office365 Security and Compliance Center (SCC) capabilities are no exception. To implement and centrally manage a sensible information governance program, you need to thoughtfully implement controls through the SCC. A gamut of SCC features is available for governing information across its lifecycle. These SCC policies can then centrally be applied to each of the O365 services, e.g., Exchange (Outlook) SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, etc. We’ll discuss the SCC tool set and take a deep dive into the pros and cons of certain features, so you have the knowledge to establish a balanced governance program that meets the needs of your organization.

More about Carol: The digital age rushes forward, demanding information governance (IG) across myriad electronic platforms.  CAROL STAINBROOK, Executive Director of Cohasset Associates’ consulting practice, responds to these demands with expertise and innovation. Her ongoing consultation with Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Box, Dell/EMC, IBM, and others, has facilitated an evolution of retention, preservation and disposition capabilities in their solutions’ designs. Collaboration with these tech giants informs Carol’s thinking in her work, particularly when clients employ technology to resolve IG-related problems. Her 20 plus years of experience enables IG implementations for domestic and multi‐national clients that support business goals, increase information value, improve compliance, and mitigate risk. Carol deftly deciphers her clients’ operational paradigms, technology complexities and regulatory challenges, achieving IG results her clients can measure. As a thought-leader, Carol is an author, and a frequent speaker on information-centric topics.
