Organization: Association of Legal Administrators (ALA)
The ALA’s mission is to improve the quality of management in law firms and other legal services organization; promote and enhance the competence and professionalism of legal administrators and all members of the management team. The Philadelphia ALA was founded in 1975 and consists of over 200 members, currently representing 116 firm in the Philadelphia area. We represent professional legal management and managers to the legal community and to the community at large. The association's members are law office administrators who manage such areas as finance, human resources, systems and technology, facilities, marketing and practice development.
Panel Speaker: Kathleen Remetta - Docketing Manager at Blank Rome LLP
Kathleen Remetta has over 25 years law firm experience. During that time, she was an office administrator at a boutique firm for 14 years where she was tasked with creating all policies – including those regarding records governance. In 2012, she joined an outsourcing company as the National Account Manager for Blank Rome, managing four service lines, including records for all 13 of Blank Rome’s offices. In 2014, she joined Blank Rome as their Docketing Manager under the department of Risk & Information Governance. Kathy is currently the President-Elect of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators.

Organization: Delaware Valley Archivists Group (DVAG)
The Delaware Valley Archivists Group was established in 1980 to provide area archivists the opportunity to talk and visit archives of all sizes throughout the region. Since its inception, DVAG has sought to:
Promote the preservation of historic documents;
Provide a forum where professional issues can be discussed and where colleagues can meet;
Promote professional growth through continuing education; and
Educate the general public about the administrative, legal, fiscal, historical and cultural value of public and private archives and manuscript collections.
DVAG holds quarterly meetings and offers periodic workshops for members at all levels of ability. Meetings take place in a variety of locations throughout the Delaware Valley region, ranging from the area’s largest archives to one- and two-person departments.
Panel Speaker: Kenneth Cleary - Processing Archivist at Princeton Theological Seminary
Ken has been an active member of the Delaware Valley Archivists Group since 2012, and served as its Chair in 2018. He was also an At-Large Member of the Steering Committee of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference for 2015-2017. He holds a MA in History and a MLIS, both from Rutgers University and earned his Certified Archivist credential in 2015. Ken currently works for the Princeton Theological Seminary Library as their Processing Archivist.

The SQA is an association of over 2,000 professionals who are dedicated to implementing Good Clinical Practices (GCPs), Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) within industry, governments, academia, and consulting. Panel Speaker: Tanja Vaneman, RQAP-GLP - Sr. Specialist, Global Clinical Trials Operations at Merck & Co., Inc.
Tanja Vaneman is a quality professional with 22 years of experience in technical, quality, and 3rd party oversight roles, including assuring information protection and record managements. She has worked for contract research labs, pharmaceutical companies, and as an independent consultant. Vaneman has been a member of SQA since 2003, and a registered RQAP-GLP since 2009. Her SQA experience includes participating in multiple specialty section groups, including the Education Committee, acting as a member of the SQA Rapid Response team to FDA proposed guidance, participating in regional SQA group, MARSQA, and authoring newsletter articles and a training webinar. She is passionate about promoting a culture of compliance and working collaboratively to assure quality management.
